Welcome to Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Club

Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Club is officially established in 2004 in Vancouver, BC.Canada. It's founder Linda, who is its head coach, wishes for the sport Rhythmic Gymnastics to be recognized by more and more girls. Linda's positve attitude will help your kids set up and impove self-confidence, self-respective, self esteem by doing the Rhythmic Gymnastics routines. Your girls will acquire the courage by competitions, build up a team worker by cooperation, have fun with girls environmentt by listening music, open mind in a very larg gym and so on.

The sport is great for girls to get in shape and aquire a sense of grace. Athletes dance to the rhythm of the music, to music from disney to popular music; it is great to get to learn free styles and fun, professioal moves and with additional apparatus - hoop, ball, ribbon, and rope - too. Dance routines can be individual or group. With more practice of rhythmic gymnastics, even students realize they have the potential to do somethings excellently. Not only do they surprise themselves, but their parents shockingly think their daughters can be a lady too.it is a well-rounded sport that promotes every aspect of a confident, charismatic person.

>Rhythmic gymnastic is a sport in which individuals or teams of competitors (2 or more people) manipulate one or two pieces of apparatus: rope, clubs, hoop, ball, ribbon and Free (no apparatus, so called "floor routine"). An individual athlete only manipulates 1 apparatus at a time. When multiple gymnasts are performing a routine together a maximum of two types of apparatus may be distributed through the group. An athlete can exchange apparatus with a team member at any time through the routine. Therefore, an athlete can manipulate up to two different pieces of apparatus through the duration of the routine. Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport that combines elements of ballet, gymnastics, dance, and apparatus manipulation. The victor is the participant who earns the most points, determined by a panel of judges, for leaps, balances, pirouettes (pivots), flexibilities, apparatus handling, execution, and artistic effect.

Rhythmic gymnastics was added to the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, with an Individual All-Around competition. However, many federations from the Eastern European countries were forced to boycott by the Soviet Union. Canadian Lori Fung was the first rhythmic gymnast to earn an Olympic gold medal. The Group competition was added to the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. FIG (Fideration of International Gymnastics is the highest adminstration office of rhythmic gymnastic sport.

Linda first began the Club's classes in Port Moody and they steadily expanded to two locations, Seaview Community School, Port Moody, and Archbishop Carney Regional Secondary School, Port Coquitlam. From 2004, the club's members increased and earned many honors at competitions. Many of them claim to have much fun in the club while trying to be better in their classes.
